Workplace hygiene has always been of vital importance, but its relevance has never been under the microscope to a greater degree than it has this year. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the unquestionable priority of keeping a safe and sterile working environment has only become more urgent. Whether in a hospital or any other area where people gather and breathe the same air, that has meant a need for the right commercial cleaning equipment and PPE. Aprons
Available in flat pack or on a multi-apron roll, proactive aprons are designed for use in vital, often life-saving procedures such as intubation. Any procedure that could be described as “aerosol-generating” increases the need for coverings such as these, and our healthcare-standard 16 Micron aprons are appropriate for use in hospitals and care homes.
Enzyme Deodoriser
When trying to save someone’s life or stabilise their condition, doctors and nurses can’t be too concerned about the potential for the release of body fluids. However, once the procedure is over and clean-up commenced, there is still the risk for odours to hang around - diminishing confidence in what should be a sterile environment. Enzyme deodorisers break down the organic substances and replace the smell with a soothing vanilla scent.
Face Masks
Anyone interested in preventing the spread of airborne viruses like Covid-19 will be aware by now of the importance of PPE products such as face masks. The urgency of masking up is greater still in busy environments including hospitals. The 3-ply IIR masks are available in packs of 50 and offer a bacterial filtration efficiency of greater than 98%. We also offer KN95 masks which have five layers and offer protection against airborne particles such as saliva and others.
Red Laundry Bags
During medical procedures, bed linen can very easily become contaminated with fluids that increase the infection risk from a range of conditions as diverse as Covid-19, HIV and Hepatitis B. Red laundry bags are designed to be used as a liner for contaminated linen bins; at regular intervals the bags can be collected and placed in a 20-degree wash where the bag disintegrates and leaves linen to be safely washed without exposing anyone to the pathogens it may contain.
Blue Nitrile Gloves
As used in dental surgeries, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, nitrile gloves are thin enough to snugly fit the hand, but thick enough to prevent contamination during medical procedures. Each glove is completely ambidextrous, and they feature beading on the cuff to make them easier to put on. Available in a range of sizes from small to extra-large, these gloves are a stalwart of any commercial PPE products store.
Carpet Shampoo
In an environment such as a care home, which is designed to feel welcoming and domestic but needs to be ready for medical emergencies, there is always going to be a need to clean and treat carpets which may become stained or contaminated with a range of fluids.
